Successful premiere of the new competition MUNDUS VINI NORDIC
Meininger Verlag and the German Wine Institute strengthen the export activities of German winegrowers
The premiere of MUNDUS VINI NORDIC was a complete success. German winegrowers presented themselves in the new and in this form unique competition to the Scandinavian wine market. The wine publisher Meininger and the German Wine Institute had invited more than 50 jurors from all Nordic countries to Copenhagen: On two days, wine journalists, sommeliers, wine merchants, importers and employees of the Scandinavian alcohol monopolies tasted 660 wines from 200 German wine producers.
The jury awarded a total of 100 gold medals and 164 silver medals. In addition, the best of show wine was chosen in each category. The awarded wines came from all German wine growing regions.
The award ceremony of MUNDUS VINI NORDIC will take place on September 10 at the German Embassy in Copenhagen. Ambassador Andreas Meitzner speaks the greeting. Christian Wolf, Director of Degustation Meininger Verlag, and German Wine Queen Carolin Klöckner will jointly moderate the award ceremony. The eleven category winners then present their wines as part of a table presentation.
All awarded wines as well as the winners of the 11 competition categories can be found on the following pages of MEININGER ONLINE.
